When there are no guests in the room, if a preset scene is not working, or if there is no presence-based room control, energy consumption increases due to lighting, air conditioning and fan coil.
EAE Teknoloji's GRMS solution contributes to energy saving for hotel management by providing room control based on card system or occupancy, thanks to a patent pending product.
Hotel management will be informed immediately by EAE's GRMS solution in case of a malfunction in the facility.

With the KNX Modbus Gateway module, occupancy is monitored without use of the cardholder device.

In card reader systems, all electrical equipment in the room can be used as long as the card is inserted into the system. Still there can be an occupancy sensor in the room which is going to be used for scenes for energy saving.
There are 4 different scenarios of KNX-Modbus Gateway.
As soon as the guest enters the room, the desired lighting will turn on in Pre-Welcome scenario.
The use of lighting, HVAC, shading, sockets in the room is permitted as long as guests are in the room during welcome scenario.
A moment after the window or balcony door of the room is opened,
air conditioning is set to a pre-defined reduced setting or turned off..
Closed again the air conditioning restored to saved conditions before window / balcony door opened.
When leaving the room, the leave scenario is activated at the end of the defined period
All lighting, sockets and air conditioning will be switched off.
If desired, the air conditioning state can be set to a desired set temperature or mode state.
After guests’ check-in / out actions, desired scenarios can be activated with the integration of GRMS software and hotel PMS.
